Location
Lalapalm is situated in the North-Eastern part of South Africa, on the edge of the Phalaborwa district, which is also called the City of Two Summers. Lalapalm is in the northern province of Limpopo, about 1 kilometre from the entrance to the Kruger Park, the Hans Merensky Golf Club and the Kruger Park Gateway Airport.

Travelling by car
Lalapalm is easy to reach by car. Lalapalm is situated about 500 kilometres (a 5-hour drive) from Johannesburg. There are two scenic routes you can choose from:
- Drive from Johannesburg via the N1 to Polokwane. Take the R71 to Tzaneen and from there to Phalaborwa.
- Drive from Johannesburg via the N4 to Witbank and from there to Middelburg. At Belfast, take the exit to Dullstroom. From there continu to Lydenburg, Ohrigstad and Tzaneen. Take the exit to Mica/Phalaborwa.
Travelling by plane
South African Airlines provide two flights a day between Johannesburg and Phalaborwa's Kruger Park Gateway Airport and back. The flight takes about one hour. Lalapalm is located around 1,5 kilometre from the airport. On request you can be collected from the airport. The airport is unique with its usual display of animal sculptures.
